Abstract
Background: To introduce a convenient method of organizing articles and sharing data using PDF article files and MS-Word.

Materials and Methods: 100 PDF article files were obtained from the Internet and divided into 10 groups of 10 PDF files each. The 10 PDF files of each group were inserted into a new Word document using drag-and-drop method and saved as Word file. Each Word file was then converted to a condensed zip file. The sizes of the PDF group (each
consisting of 10 PDF files), Word file, and zip file were compared and analyzed. The created Word file was checked for compatibility with Window XP, Vista and 7. Compatibility of each system with the drag-and-drop method was also checked. Lastly, the application methods of the inserted PDF files in Word document were examined.

Result: Compared to size of the PDF group, the corresponding Word file size was greater by average of 15.4%, and zip files greater by 13.8%, but there was no significant statistical difference (p=0.445, p=0.508). With increasing size of Word file, the size difference with the PDF group tended to decrease (rho=-0.952, p=0.000). All Word files operated normally
regardless of the Window system, and drag-and-drop method worked in all systems.

Conclusion: Inserting PDF article files to Word document by drag-and-drop method is very convenient, reduces cost, and can be done in all Window systems.
